A brief history of the Union Pacific Kenosha Subdivision:

06/26/21

The second bridge at Wiscona Junction is the most unique. This heavily skewed through plate girder crosses the former Milwaukee Road trackage, now owned by Canadian National.
The bridge rests on abutments that are both stone and concrete, which shows the abutments were recycled.
Above, the right of way is heavily overgrown with brush from years of disuse.
The tracks below lie in a depression which is heavily treed in, creating a eerie and frightening location, especially when quiet.
Overall, the bridge remains in decent condition. It is unknown what future is in store for this bridge.

The author has ranked this bridge as being locally significant, due to the common design.
